The gender and media program gets
further support from the UNESCO
The Gender and Arab Media program implemented by CAWTAR with the support of AGFUND received further support from the UNESCO. CAWTAR had applied for support from the organization within the framework of the UNESCO’s international program for the development of Communication IPDC. The Center received 30.000 Dollars which will be allocated to enhancing the capacities of Media professionals on gender issues through capacity building
About IPDC The IPDC is the only multilateral forum in the UN system designed to mobilize the international community to discuss and promote media development in developing countries. The Programme not only provides support for media projects but also seeks an accord to secure a healthy environment for the growth of free and pluralistic media in developing countries.
